Niamh and Bríd Dunne, daughters of Mickey Dunne are, in their own right, part of the traditional Irish music circuit both at home and abroad. They are both dedicated to carrying on the musical tradition of the Dunne family and performing at Irish folk events. The ongoing accomplishments and devotion to their art forms speak volumes of the gratitude Bríd and Niamh Dunne bear for the gifts and talents that have been bequeathed to them.
The evident talents of Mickey's daughters Niamh and Bríd Dunne grace the tunes of their recently released Legacy CD. The arrangements and compositional talents, the fiddling performances and, in the case of Niamh, the vocal abilities of these young women are manifest throughout the production. They are their father's daughters—and more, bringing their own unique skills to adorn their already fertile heritage.

Bríd's style of fiddling is labelled "superb" and "gifted" by Finbar Furey, who introduces the Legacy CD on its insert. Her style compliments her sister and adds to the texture of their playing. She is currently studying psychology at Forstberg University, Maryland, USA. She also received the high achievers award from the London associated board of western art music, and is in great demand as a violin teacher. |
